Paradise with an Asterisk - Outside Magazine

Bikini Atoll, located in the Marshall Islands, was the post WWII site for American Nuclear experiments. Today, the soil on the island is radioactive and considered unsafe to live. Writer Sam Gwynne and I spent 10 days on the island exploring the remnants of this former paradise.
